An exotic musical adventure to delight the senses
Since the first concert in 1998 in the Vienna Musikverein, the Grand Chinese New Year Concert has developed into a renowned cultural event in Europe. For over a decade, always to the date of the Chinese New Year's celebrations, which is also called "the Spring Festival", the best orchestras from the middle kingdom brought all 12 signs of the Chinese Horoscope to Europe. In 2010, the tour has just entered its 13th years.
The Grand Chinese New Year Concert Tour is a concert experience, which is unique. In magnificent traditional costumes and on original Chinese instruments the artists present their traditional Chinese music. On the occasion of the Chinese New Year¡'s celebrations they carry the audience away to the middle kingdom - with a New Year concert inebriating for eyes and ears.
